Job description

Due to recent senior departures and organisational gaps managing current live operations is covered, however there is a shortfall of capacity to maintain the pace of transformation, continuous improvement and expansion of the function.

Duties will include but not limited to: 
* Guiding the transformation of the Live Services function 
* Continuous improvement of Live Services delivery 
* Driving organisational effectiveness 
* Advice, support and coaching to acting Director of Live Services personally. 

Essential Skills
*Strong leadership qualities. 
*Extensive experience of sourcing and managing DDaT services and of working with 3rd party suppliers
*Extensive experience of mobilising, leading and reviewing large-scale transformation initiatives 
*Explicit experience in developing Services Integration and Management functions
*An instinctive eye towards the economics of technology solutions and experience of P&L management.
*Good understanding of how to design effective MI, customised for different audiences
*A good understanding of Operational Risk within IT
*Very strong communication skills
*Experience being in a senior role in a Live Service Organisation.

Nice to Have Skills
*Experience of working in public sector in the last 5 years.
*Experience of working in a disaggregated environment.

Job description

Programme Manager is required to join an organisation that is market leader in their sector, and manage overall programme delivery. The Programme Manager will manage a PMO team and report in to the Director of Programme and Transformation to execute senior stakeholder relationship management.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Experience of managing portfolios of projects and Programmes (previous experience of finance processing/customer service/process and culture/change related programmes would be advantageous)
  • Solid understanding and knowledge of Information Technology
  • Experience of establishing credible relationships within Business community with examples of driving Business change agenda, working at MD and Director level
  • Ability to build successful project teams, covering resources spread across Business typically without direct line management responsibility
  • Ability to see the big picture and think strategically, analyse complex Business requirements and delivery options and can translate them into actionable deliverables (be it projects or BAU resolutions) and drive them to completion
  • Ability to think commercially and strategically - quickly assess and quantify short and long-term impact of changes, deal with ambiguity and uncertainty and can evaluate options to meet business expectations and provide maximum value
  • First-hand experience and knowledge of project delivery methodologies Prince 2 as well as Agile working
