We are seeking a strong MySQL Database Administrator to work with a client based on taking complete ownership of their database environment across the entire estate. The company has experienced consistent growth since it's inception and they are committed to nurturing and promoting internally.

The ideal candidate will have previously supported a MySQL database and have an analytical, meticulous and problem-solving attitude. You will have also worked in a live MySQL environment.

Role & Responsibilities:

Database administration and maintenance
Contributing to documentation and best practice
Managing incidents and service requests
Database capacity planning
Database security
Database performance, backups, queries, clusters, nodes, and migrations
Writing and optimising SQL statements

Knowledge & Experience:

MySQL Administration

The candidate must be able to work in a changing and sometimes challenging environment - able to deal with changing demands whilst maintaining a professional and proactive approach. 

Responsibilities

* Work with the development team to design, optimise and implement SQL Server solutions for the product platform 

* Engage in server management, configuration, and optimisation

* Assist with deployments to the database during software releases and updates
