An award winning mobile app development agency in central Bristol is seeking a Full Stack Web Developer to join the company to design, build and deliver mobile web applications. If you are looking for your next career opportunity as a Web Developer, this could be the role for you.

The role entails building Front End JavaScript apps as well as Back End Node.js powered API solutions, working on a variety of client projects. The company are looking for an enthusiastic individual eager to help build solutions using cutting edge web technologies.

Working in a small, friendly mobile web team with other JavaScript experts and iOS & Android engineers, your skill set and experience will include but will not be limited to;

  • Strong JavaScript skills including ES6 and a keen interest in ES7.
  • Experience with modern Front End frameworks such as React and Angular.js
  • Experience building web applications & APIs with Node.js, with a strong understanding of API design.
  • Solid working knowledge of Git.
  • Ability to build appealing interfaces using HTML5 & CSS3.
  • Experience using CSS pre-processors such as SASS.
  • Knowledge of Back End architecture with experience of APIs and external services.
  • A very high standard of written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate your ideas in a comprehensible and respectful manner to other team members.

Desirable skills and experience:

  • Solution architecture.
  • Experience in building web solutions for mobile, both phone, and tablet.
  • Knowledge around Node.js applications.
  • Experience using cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with Linux server administration, Nginx.
  • Have previously worked to a clear technical specification and taken part in regular code reviews.
  • Familiarity with native iOS, Android or Windows Phone development.
  • Self-motivated, flexible with a can-do attitude.

They need someone with strong Sys admin skill with:

. Load balancers and web Servers. Managing and configuring Nginx, Apache, HA Proxy etc.
. Debugging network issues using common open source tools (tcpdump, wireshark etc).
. Configuration management (infrastructure as code) and version control.
. Demonstrate strong ability in UNIX Shell Scripting.

Production Support Engineer/Specialist is required with technical experience in but not limited to: CA Siteminder Web SSO. Axway XML security gateway.

Good exposure in configuring and supporting web technologies such as Tomcat, Apache, nginx, IIS

Proven logical and methodical problem analysis and troubleshooting skills. Working with an industry recognised service desk and project management toolset. Clear communicator in both written and oral forms. Desirable Skills: - BMC ControlSA (IDM). SQL, Database schema. Knowledge of Process & Quality management, ITIL v2/v3. Microsoft Project, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Knowledge of Atlasian Jira Project Management toolset. Previously used ServiceNow as a Service Desk Management product.

These services range from providing on-demand compute resources to analytics platform and DevOps utilities. This includes the support and project deliveries of the platform itself as well as on-boarding new digital offerings into the platform
