Your client is looking for a Datawarehouse Analyst to join their team in Manchester on an initial 3-month contract.
This request is to work on a large transformation programme where we will be swapping out our supply chain systems for a SAP ERP solution. We will be retaining our strategic Teradata datawarehouse and Microstrategy BI application but many data structures and reports will require changing as a result. Teradata experience is required, Microstrategy and SAP BW is an advantageous.
Teradata, SQL Server, Excel formulas, functions and VBA; these will all be second nature to you as a Technical Manager, as you use your experience in efficient query writing, performance tuning and database administration to deliver a 'best in class' datawarehouse offering as part of a team. The role will require a resource to adopt a very 'hands on' approach.
You will be required to develop and produce dashboards and reporting, ensuring timely and accurate delivery in line with BI and Business requirements.
You will be assigned to working on HR related data such as:
· New starters
Some of these requests will be ad-hoc', so being adaptable is a must. As the BI Analyst, you will be responsible for constant seeking of methods to improve reporting and visualisations as you see fit.
You will provide insightful analysis, helping to identify patterns and trends where necessary, adding commentary as required, enabling the business to make robust decisions.
It will be expected in this position you will pick up and develop your skill set, with the opportunity to utilise a number of different tools and technologies, essential for a BI Analyst.
