RF/ Microwave Design – Testing Engineer

Job Description :

 

Role Overview:
The RF/Microwave engineer would be part of the customer team designing/ testing RF/ Microwave equipmen for multiple applications.
 
Job Responsibilities:
 

  • Support customer design team involved in RF/ Microwave design and development
  • Support to manufacture
  • Support from requirements capture to design verification

 
Mandatory Skills, Qualifications and Experience required:
 

  • Practical design experience of some of the following; Microwave PCB materials & design techniques; Microwave Sub-System Design; Knowledge of microwave power amplifier design & technology; Design of complex microwave switch matrix; Application of microwave GaAs/GaN MMIC; Design of complex passive microwave structures; EM 3D and 2D simulation techniques; Non-linear circuit simulation; Microwave component selection
  • Good Communication in English (oral & written)  & Interpersonal skills
  • Good experience in writing technical documentation
  • Familiar with current industry standard CAD tools
  • Knowledge of AWR Microwave Office, Keysight ADS, Matlab and CST Microwave Studio
  • Strong problem solving skills and experience of solving problems in a design and development context

Qualifications
 

  • First or second Degree in Electronic Engineering (BSc, BEng, MEng, MSc, PhD, EngD) or a related science with specialisation in RF/Microwave circuit design and test - ideally including S-parameter manipulation, EM simulation, Non-linear circuit simulation and modelling, Matching network design and Microwave component selection along with expert knowledge in one or more of AWR Microwave office, CST Microwave studio, Agilent ADS, or AWR Visual System Simulator.

Role Overview: 
The firmware engineer would be responsible for design and development of Firmware designs using VHDL and verifying designs using VHDL or System Verilog.
 
Job Responsibilities:
The firmware engineer would work closely with Systems, Hardware and Software teams to solve integration problems on complex systems.

  • Creating innovative and robust VHDL based designs;
  • Documenting and recording deliverables
  • Ensuring configuration management,
  • Providing progress reports.

 
Mandatory Skills, Qualifications and Experience required:

  • A degree level or equivalent in a Computing or Science/Mathematics subject or have similar specialist training
  • Significant experience of developing real-time embedded safety-critical firmware preferably in accordance with RTCA/DO-254 DAL A or B
  • Experience of VHDL or Verilog
  • Experience of requirements capture and configuration management tools
  • A good understanding of configuration management
  • The ability to coordinate day to day technical activities, liaising closely with the lead engineer/firmware lead
  • Hands on test and debugging skills
  • Experience of liaising with internal and external suppliers and customers
  • Experience in the Aerospace industry   
  • Good Communication in English (oral & written)  & Interpersonal skills
  • Good experience in writing technical reports/ documentation
  • Knowledge of AWR Microwave Office, Keysight ADS, Matlab and CST Microwave Studio

Qualifications

  • 2:1 or better Electronics Engineering degree or related science

Our client is looking for Lead Business Analyst's with ideally a technical background and strong understanding of software and technology focused projects/progs. You will have exposure to working with software development, technical architecture, test and related technically focused teams as well as key business stakeholders. It is essential that you have a strong tech background and full understanding of both architecture frameworks, SDLC and alike. The Business Analyst role is also a highly client focused and facing role and requires the ability to both present to key stakeholders and communicate effectively in highly pressurised and fast-moving environments. 

In order to be considered for the Lead Business Analyst role you will have: 

- 5-10 Years Business/Systems Analysis experience working in large scale, enterprise environment
- Experience of leading teams and other BA's
- Experience in teh Banking/FS sector 
- Experience of working on complex software/technology focused projects
- Strong understanding for the full SDLC 
- Experience working closely with architecture design, development and testing teams 
- Client facing experience or wider consultancy experience would be highly beneficial 
- Strong experience dealing with tough business focused stakeholders 
- Definition, support and execution of UAT 
- First class communication and problem solving skills
