The Role

This opportunity will suit an experienced software analyst programmer with prior experience in Java and Microsoft technologies. Working as part of a team, you will be required to support and onward develop Legacy Java based solutions, and to design and build new solutions in JAVA/Microsoft as required. Solutions run in outsourced data centres, therefore the successful candidate will also be required to work with, and direct the tasks of, infrastructure vendors at an operational level.

The Responsibilities

*Accountable for development, delivery and integration of application solutions throughout their entire life cycle, sourced from multiple vendors and developed via internal teams 
*Thorough expert knowledge of relevant applications 
*As "Application Lead", oversee and protect the integrity of IT solutions 
*Technical lead on small and medium sized projects (up to £0.5m) 
*Responsible for the development of designs and standards 
*Provide effective consultancy and guidance to internal and external customers 
*Liaise with 3rd party service providers ensuring compliance with company requirements for hosting
*Build effective in-house and external relationships to ensure maximum co-operation in solving customer requirements 

The Requirements

*Expert knowledge of C# & Java ideally with some knowledge of PHP 
*Expert knowledge of SQL Server (2014), IIS, Apache Tomcat, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, ASP.NET, Windows Forms 
*Expert knowledge of Windows 7, 10, Windows Server 2012 r2, Unix-like systems
