An International Events company providing bespoke and innovative app design for the Events Industry is looking for a Senior Front End Developer, focusing on iOS and Android design of fully functional webapps. The role will be based in Central London and offers a relaxed and dynamic working environment.

Our client a world-leading Fintech organisation are seeking a Senior Front End Web Developer to join their Engineering team based in London.

What a typical week looks like?

  • Develop new user-facing features used by millions of users
  • Assess the impact of proposed changes to other process areas and systems and recommend alternative solution choices, determining trade-offs and impact analysis
  • Discussing technical solutions and providing innovative new ideas to solutions
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Convert visual designs to semantic mark-up, then dress it up in CSS and then bring it to life with JavaScript
  • Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
  • Developing cross-browser and cross-platform compatible solutions
  • Maintaining high awareness of industry issues and trends, particularly in regard to accessibility, usability, and emerging technologies, and keep team members informed as appropriate, with a view to incorporating these in future projects and staying ahead of the market and position yourself and the company as a digital specialist.

Must Haves

  • Mastery of JavaSript/HTML/CSS
  • Expert experience with styling and responsive design techniques, mobile first website development using technologies such as HTML5, LESS and SASS
  • Good understanding of JavaScript frameworks such as ReactJS/AngularJS/BackboneJS
  • Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them
  • Hands-on experience building scalable web applications, in particular high frequency and low latency web applications with optimal memory management, performance and scalability as key focus
  • Comfortable with full-stack projects and able to build a minimum working product quickly
  • Experience with automated JS testing using Karma, Jasmine, Qunit, Mocha, Chai
  • Experience integrating with Server Side code to produce dynamic pages

Upon joining, the Senior .NET Developer (C#, .NET, MVC) will get to know the 8 strong team and get to work with defining technology structures and principles. The .NET Developer will also investigate new and emerging technologies and apply these where useful. Role:

.NET Developer (C# Software Engineer/Programmer) in an Agile environment for a bank in London. You will be working in a scrum of 7/8 developers, testers, business analysts, and DevOps.

You will be working with C# 6 and ASP.NET Web API (WebAPI WebAPI2) 2.x to build online banking applications. Some of the work will be to extend existing applications, some of the work will be completely greenfield.

The department is mature and still evolving from an Agile and DevOps perspective. In some products, releases can be as many as 30/month. Configuration management, automated deployment, and continuous integration are done with PowerShell DSC, MS Build, TeamCity and Octopus Deploy.
