This position is part of a Global Configuration Management project team. The Data Consultants will be required to operate in key data positions to provide analytic support and create actionable insights, as well engage in the tasks necessary to improve the quality of data.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)
· Analysis of multiple complex data sets using different analytical methods to identify gaps in data or quality issues with the data.
· Use data insights to identify opportunities and deliver the tasks to improve data quality through process, policy, training or technical changes to systems.
· Develop insights from analyses to tell a story out of the data (presentations, training materials, etc).
· Promote idea generation by analyzing and reporting data in a proactive manner that influences data driven decisions.
· Use data analysis from multiple data sources to measure and improve KPIs that help us understand the impact of our enhancements.
Essential criteria
· Minimum of 5 years IT industry experience.
· Advanced Excel skills – e.g. Macros, Charting, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX & MATCH.
· Minimum of 2 years of ServiceNow CMDB.
Desirable Criteria – These criteria may be used where we have a high number of applicants
· Knowledge of discovery tools such as SCCM, Flexera and JAMF.
· Minimum of 2 years experience with ITIL and Service Management processes.
· Minimum of 3 years’ experience of SQL or similar database query language skills.
· Minimum of 1 years’ experience of Windows and Linux Server Operating systems.
· Creative problem solver, curious and inquisitive.
· Ability to create compelling visualizations to support effective communication with stakeholders and senior leadership which drive alignment and decision making.
· Strong interpersonal skills; effectively influence others to gain alignment on project decisions. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

The PowerBI Developer will be responsible for working with the product owner and product stakeholders to deliver solutions and insights aimed at modernising and transforming the business.
The PowerBI Developer will be part of an agile scrum team, so duties will include attending daily scrum stand-ups, sprint reviews, sprint retrospectives and planning meetings. The PowerBI Developer will also be expected to demonstrate incremental developments in data analysis/machine learning to the business. Understanding how to SPIKE and estimate stories is an essential requirement.
The PowerBI Developer will work closely with all team members, particularly the User Experience, Visual Design team members as well as Data Modeller/Engineers and Data Analysts. Responsibilities include contribution to the team, helping others in the team as and when required including testing with the client.
The PowerBI Developer will ideally possess the following key skills:
Excellent working knowledge of Excel & PowerBI
Good working knowledge of DAX & M Power query language
Designing effective data models in line with the Kimble methodology
Research and develop statistical learning models for data analysis
Keep up-to-date with latest technology trends
Communicate results and ideas to key decision makers in an effective manner
Implement new statistical or other mathematical methodologies as needed for specific models or analysis
Optimize joint development efforts through appropriate database use and project design
Collect, evaluate and compress data and information from multiple sources, resolve conflicts and differentiate between actual and required user need
Using strong analytical reasoning to understand end user's requirements and transforming them into operational application
Able to deliver output expediently, balances need for accuracy with business expectation of fast-paced delivery
As per the role accountabilities above, the key deliverables will be:
Lead the discovery processes with business stakeholders to identify the (often vague) business requirements and the expected outcome.
Produce powerful story through the use of engaging data visualisation in Power BI reports and dashboards
Works with and alongside business analysts by suggesting other products of interest to the client.
Design conceptual and logical data models to represent often complex business areas in concise data structures which are effective to query
Collaborate with business subject matter experts to select the relevant sources of information.
Makes strategic recommendations on data collection, integration and retention requirements incorporating business requirements and knowledge of best practices.
Conducts advanced data analysis and highly complex designs of algorithms.
Applies advanced statistical and predictive modelling techniques to build, maintain, and improve on multiple real-time decision systems.
Models and frames business scenarios that are meaningful and which impact on critical business processes and/or decisions.
Identifies what data is available and relevant, including internal and external data sources, leveraging new data collection processes such as smart meters and geo-location information or social media.
Develops innovative and effective approaches to solve client's analytics problems and communicates results and methodologies.
Works in iterative processes with the client and validates findings.
Liaise with relevant stakeholders to identify the non-functional requirements of a reporting solution (e.g. Security, data refresh) and work with them to obtain secure automated access to corporate data sources.
Validates analysis using scenario modelling.
Identifies/creates appropriate algorithms to discover patterns.
Essential
Typically, greater than 5 years of experience in visualisation tools
Extensive background in data mining and statistical analysis
Experience ingesting data from a variety of sources, and using M code and the query editor to perform effective data transformation
Experience using DAX to create accurate calculations that are performant on large datasets
Experience utilising latest navigation features in Power BI (e.g. bookmarks, drill-throughs, etc) to guide readers through a compelling data-driven story.
Has developed solutions in related technologies (e.g. Power Apps, MS Flow) to enhance reports
Machine Learning and algorithm development experience
Passionate about data visualisation and insight.
Experience in the implementation and customisation of visualisation tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Spotfire)
Experience of data science application within Finance departments/businesses
